I’m Katie

Hi, I am Katie Gregory, your personal western art curator. I am actually first and foremost the mom of two beautiful little girls, the wife of a real life cowboy and my own version of a “cowgirl”.

I’ve always hesitated to call myself a photographer even though I’ve been taking pictures since I was a little girl. I got a new camera in 2019, lots of unexpected things were happening. I had quit my job at a bank and needed to entertain myself on the ranch.

At that time we’re living on a beautiful ranch in Eastern NM. It was gorgeous and my first experience with really living on a ranch. My entire life I had horses, rodeoed, and loved the lifestyle. This was my first time really living submersed in it. So, every time we did anything you could find me packing a camera. I was surrounded by a lot of cows, cowboys, horses and A LOT OF WORKING. Not a ton of people get to experience working cattle, it’s literally one of the most beautiful things to watch. It’s like a well oiled machine, but the machinery is largely horses and people. They all operate on this almost unspoken code and respect. Most of my portfolio was made up of these moments right outside my door. We have since moved to another equally gorgeous ranch just up the road.

The more photos I took, the more people asked to buy them which has led me here.
